LS Cable builds modern cable plant in Haryana

LS Cable SystemLS Cable & System India (LSCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the $7.67-billion Korea head quartered LS Cable & System has built one of India's largest power cable manufacturing plants at Bawal in Haryana.

Spread over 2.15 lakh sqft and built with an investment of Rs.180 crore, the plant will have the capacity to annually produce Rs.1,000 crore worth of power cables (up to 220kV) and optic ground wire. Besides, it is also equipped to produce Rs.500 crore of communication cables per year.

LSCI was established in 2008 with an initial focus on manufacturing coaxial cables and RF antennas in India, and with potential expansion plans. LS Cable & System has been in India since 1997 when it constructed ultra-high voltage subterranean lines in New Delhi and Bangalore. LSCI has its corporate headquarters in Gurgaon.
