Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has
received a Rs.630-crore order
from Abhijeet Group for setting
up a power project in Andhra Pradesh.
Placed by Abhijeet Projects Ltd, the
contract relates to a 300-mw coal-fired
power plant at Visakhapatnam in
Andhra Pradesh.
This is the first order bagged by
BHEL for its new-rating 300-mw
thermal set where it has to design,
engineer, manufacture, supply, erect, test and commission boilers, steam
turbines and turbo-generators along
with state-of-the-art controls and
instrumentation (C&I) and other
associated auxiliaries.
Repeat order: BHEL is already in
the midst of executing a contract for
supply and installation of the main
plant package for Abhijeet Group's
1,080-mw Matrishri Usha Jayaswal
mega power plant in Jharkhand. The
order relates to two phases, each of
2x270-mw.
