Pepperl+Fuchs India, a developer
and manufacturer of electronic
sensors and interface components
for the automation market, has expanded
its operations in Bangalore. The company
has invested an additional Rs.25 crore in
its facility at Peenya Industrial Area,
Bangalore which was inaugurated by
Michael Fuchs, Partner, Pepperl+Fuchs
GmbH recently. With the addition of its
new facility and manufacturing plant, the
company is aiming to achieve an annual
turnover of Rs.300 crore by 2015, a
company release said.
On the occasion Michael Fuchs,
Partner, Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH, said,
"The Indian market is an emerging market
and we feel that our expansion in India
will help us in catering to the needs of our
valuable customers more efficiently and
promptly."
The new facility is spread across two
acres of land, with 40,000 square feet
area consisting of three floors to house
the existing employees, besides 1,200
sqft warehouse area to store their
products and 5,000 sqft
manufacturing/assembly area for local
production and integration.
Dr. Gunther Kegel, CEO of Pepperl +
Fuchs reiterated the company's
commitment to the Indian market and
announced sourcing of all possible
expertise from India though this facility
for the Global Pepperl+Fuchs
requirement.
