Schneider Electric India has
received the prestigious Golden
Peacock Award for Corporate
Social Responsibility for the year
2012. The award, in recognition of
Schneider Electric's Corporate Social
Responsibility Initiatives in the areas
of village electrification, electrician
trainings, employment was
presented to Schneider Electric India
by H.E. Mr Juma Al Majid, Chairman
of Dubai Economic Council &
Founder Chairman of Juma Al Majid
Group on April 25, 2012, at the Dubai
Global Convention, 2012.
Schneider Electric won this award
for its initiatives in the space of
Corporate Social Responsibility
which lie at the very core of the
Schneider Electric culture and
strategy. In addition to being a global
specialist in energy management,
Schneider Electric provides energy
efficiency solutions wherever needed
and the company's achievements in
the field of sustainable development
are a real and essential opportunity
for mobilization, growth, and
differentiation.
The Golden Peacock award for
Corporate Social Responsibility,
presented annually, has been
instituted to encourage international
organizations to accelerate the pace
of stakeholder oriented improvement
processes. As a part of the process,
Schneider Electric competed with
some of India's best organizations
and was assessed by an eminent panel
of juries including international
strategists and members of the
judiciary, a statement by Schneider
observed.
On the occasion of receiving the
award, Olivier Blum, Country
President, Schneider Electric India
said, "The award is certain to inspire
and encourage our large group of
members of Schneider Electric India
and the Corporate Social
Responsibility team to intensify and
extend their efforts to achieve greater
