KEC International has secured two orders together worth Rs.95 crore from South African nations. “We are happy to start the new financial year on a positive note by winning these orders in the international market,” Ramesh Chandak, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd, said in a statement.
The first order, from Mozambique, is for turnkey construction of a 110 kV transmission line of 100 km and a substation in the Cabo Dalgado province, with a scheduled completion of 18 months. Placed by Electricidade de Mozambique, the order was won through KEC International's Saudi joint venture outfit, Al Sharif KEC.
The second order, placed by Nampower of Namibia is for supply and installation of OPGW cable and matched hardware accessories for 220 kV D/C lines Van Eok-Osana-Omburualong and Khan-Rossing. The total length of the lines is 207 km and the project is scheduled for completion in six months.
