Geothermal plant complete

The 49.5-mw Faulkner 1 will become operational in early October with a firm output capacity of nearly 28 to 30 mw. Plant commissioning for the station has started and is likely to finish by the end of September, according to the company. The plant will connect to the Sierra Pacific Power Company (SPPC) power grid through a 21-mile power line interconnection.
Nevada Geothermal Power is an emerging renewable energy developer focused on producing sustainable geothermal electric power from high temperature geothermal resources in the United States.
