Asian Electronics Ltd (AEL), a leading energy solutions providing
company, has bagged a Rs 532- million contract from the Maharashtra
State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The
company won the contract against stiff competition from biggies
such as Larsen and Toubro, Mumbai, Reliance Energy, Delhi, Nagarjuna
Construction Co., Hyderabad and Associated Transformers Ltd.,
Vadodara.
The contract entails electrical works to be carried out in the
distribution system. It is to be implemented in Aurangabad,
Jalna, Parbhani and Hingoli in Maharashtra.
The work involves supplying material, construction and commissioning
of 1936 km 11 KV line, 212 km 440 volts L.T. line and 63 KVA
830 distribution transformers. The work is scheduled to be completed
in 18 month's time.
About the company's capabilities in executing such projects
Suresh H Shah, Chairman, Asian Electronics, said, "We have
a full fledged project department which undertakes such contracts
involving supply, erection, testing and commissioning. Moreover,
we are carrying out such electrical contracts since 1995."
AEL has the experience of having undertaken such projects earlier.
At present, it is executing a Rs 410-million project for MSEDCL
at Nashik and Ahmednagar districts. The project involves the
commissioning of 11 KV line 312 kms, 440 volts L.T line 55 km,
63 KVA 377 distribution transformers and 60 nos 11 KV 600 KVAR
capacitors. Ninety per cent of the work has been completed and
the balance 10 per cent is under execution.
