Indo Tech to put up new unit for transformers

Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it had acquired 30.04 acres of land at a cost of about Rs 100 million on NH-4 beyond Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, to set up its new power transformer facility to manufacture 220KV and above range of power transformers.

The new location is around 37 kms from its existing facilities at Thirumazhisai, where the new distribution transformer and new dry type transformer facilities are coming up. These facilities are to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2006-'07.

The civil construction for the new power transformer plant of 2400 MVA capacity per annum will commence shortly.
