International gets Rs. 490 mn contract
KEC
International Ltd has got a new order worth Rs. 490 million in
India for a project being implemented by Power Grid Corporation
of India Ltd (PGCIL).
The
company's scope of work includes supply and construction of approximately
45-km long 400 KV double circuit Kahalgaon-Patna transmission
line at Bark. The line is associated with Barh Transmission System
for evacuation of power from Bath Thermal Power Station being
constructed by NTPC. The project is scheduled to be completed
by July 2008.
KEC is currently
engaged in executing orders in various countries such as Abu Dhabi,
Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Zambia, Nigeria
and Ethiopia.
In
the domestic market, it is already executing various orders for
PGCIL, WBSEB, J&K SPDC, UPPCL and Power Links.
The
company is one of the largest power transmission, engineering,
procurement and construction companies in the world with presence
in more than fifteen countries.
