Fedders Lloyd wins Rs.55 crore order in MP
Fedders Lloyd has won a Rs.55-crore order from state utility Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co Ltd for setting up new 11kV lines. The order is part of a statewide project coming up with assistance from Asian Development Bank. Under the contract, Fedders Lloyd will supply, erect, install, test and commission new 11kV lines, new 11kV bays with vacuum circuit breakers and metering, undertake conversion of LT lines and install distribution transformer for separation of agricultural and village loads. Alstom lands €450-million mandate from GVK Power
Alstom has been awarded two contracts, together worth around €450 million, by Indian private utility GVK Industries to build two units at the new Jegurupadu III combined cycle power plant in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. These contracts consist of an EPC contract and an additional long-term service agreement. The part of the EPC contract pertaining to the first unit of the power plant is expected to be booked during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2010-11. The part relating to the second unit will be booked after relevant governmental authorisation is received by the customer. More>>

The Electrical Projects division of BGR Energy Systems Ltd, the EPC company for power projects, has secured a contract of unspecified value from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, for design, engineering, manufacture and supply of cabling system and other electrical works for power island area in Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Ltd (Bhavini), the 500-mw prototype fast breeder reactor (PFBR) project at Kalpakkam, Chennai. Lanco Infratech clinches major BoP order from Mahagenco
The EPC division of Lanco Infratech Ltd has won a major balance of plant order from state utility Mahagenco for the 3x660-mw Koradi supercritical power project near Nagpur. The scope of the order, of unspecified value, entails providing complete balance of plant package comprising coal handling plant, ash handling plant, DM water plant, cooling towers, water treatment, etc. The order is scheduled to complete within 42 months from zero date.
